Background
DC Bank is one of the leading banking institutions in Bern and among the most traditional financial institutions in Switzerland. As part of its Strategy 2022+, DC Bank opted for a new brand identity and commissioned the agency Noord.
Based on the defined guiding principles, Noord developed a new corporate design. This resulted in modernized brand elements, including a refreshed logo, a new color palette, and a new visual world.
Services

In Bern, logos featuring bears are widespread. Our goal was to create a brand symbol that appears more realistic and modern than the previous one, while also conveying a distinctive and strong character.



The images vividly convey the brand values. The Bern Historical Museum represents “solid,” a warm café atmosphere stands for “upright,” and sandstone textures emphasize the “Bernese” identity of DC Bank.






For print media, we developed a layout concept that visually connects all the created brand elements.


Generous white space brings elegance and calm, while elements spanning across pages enhance readability and add a modern touch.


The DC Bank’s Debit Mastercard was also redesigned and now appears physically in portrait format and digitally in landscape format.
